Interview Questions

1.       Tell me about yourself?

Well, I'm shift manager at Eddie Rockets right now, looking after our best performing in the restaurant. Before that, I worked at as team leader in another restaurant where I worked with three different locations doing training. Prior to that, I have more than seven years in customer services back in my country. Last company I worked at was for 6 years before coming to Ireland.

When not working, I enjoy going out with my friends. After work and on weekends, I go for walks with friends for fitness. We try to do something different like trekking, visiting some museums, historical sites. I like meeting new people, exploring new places, and breathing clean air.

2.  How do you hear about this job?

I considered applying for the job, because I'm a big fan of your work and have been following this company for a while. According to a friend of a friend, I should apply for this job.

3. Why do you want this job?

The work I've been doing and finding enjoyable throughout my career fits well with this position. It provides a balance of short- and long-term objectives. I can manage tasks and finish projects thanks to my organizing abilities.


4. How do you deal with stress?

I've learned how to prioritize jobs and balance my workload thanks to working under pressure, and I think there are times when pressure is beneficial. I had had three important projects due in the same week, so I planned and prepared each one meticulously to make sure I would do it on time. I fully avoided stress by defining priorities and planning.

5. Why are you leaving your job?

Since I mentioned a friend of a friend told me about this opportunity, I'll be honest and say that I wasn't even considering changing. I investigated the position and was pleased with it. What you're offering sounds like a fantastic opportunity that would fit my skills well.

6. What is your greatest strength?

My strongest suit is my interpersonal communication skills. I find it easy to communicate with almost anyone, and I frequently know how to empathize with others in the right way. As a shift manager I feel that active communication is important to run properly all task asked and people do not feel is an order but a request to achieve.

7. What is your greatest weakness?

It frequently takes more work for me to delegate and choose to take on in order to ensure that a task is completed perfectly. This puts more pressure on me, but I am trying to work on it, trusting more in my colleagues and focus more on my own tasks up to this point.

8. What you can bring to this company?

I am a driven individual who is prepared to go above and above on every job and to pick up useful skills on my own schedule. For instance, in college I taught myself through podcast and YouTube videos how to improve my planning and organization skills, I am the self-driven leader with both the talents and the enthusiasm.

9. What are your salary expectations?

Although I don't have certain pay needs, I do have a lot of industry experience that I think makes my application stand out. I'm interested in going into further information about what my duties would be at this organization. From there, we can calculate a reasonable compensation for the job.

10. Are you applying for other jobs?

I am not currently being interviewed by any other companies in the industry. I have little experience in the sector; therefore I'm trying to find an entry-level employment with a reputable, encouraging company that is already established. I did not schedule any other interviews with unidentified organizations because I believe my credentials and expertise are adequate for the position you are offering.
